Maybe I’m being way too picky but didn’t glass block disappear back in the 60’s and I always thought that a shower “stall” was for horses not people.  Am I being too picky… oh hell no I’m just getting started on this fail for a master bath (we won’t mention the color choice for the tile, it has the appearance of a Petri dish gone bad) and it’s only 18 years old, I can only assume that the original owners were “stuck” in the previous century,  my opinion, this room needs work.

Let’s start with it’s a master bath without a tub and a shower with a RAMP, yes a RAMP and counter tops that exceed what you would see at a Macy’s makeup counter with lighting to match!  Gut it and start over and can someone please include a bathtub…

Black/white clean classic, Easy Wallz wall poster, okay it should have two sinks for a master bath but in my defense it could be added with little effort.  And look, there is a bathtub that we can fill in case of a repeat of the Y2K crisis when it wasn’t sure that we would need extra water to flush the toilet.  Yea, okay we are on well water here but that is beside the point.  Maybe too gay…

Yea, maybe with with the A&F poster and you can’t see the other one by the toilet hidden behind the shower, but in my defense take the posters down, remove the wall covering which by the way is very easy and you have a classic bath, cause you always have to remember resale value.

The old (previous owners music room/library) there is a bookshelf/build in desk on the wall that is hidden in the photo.  The wall color, don’t get me started.

We have since renamed it the puzzle room and it’s close to the kitchen so snacking and refreshing cocktails is quick and convenient which as we all know is quite essential when you’re deep into finding the next puzzle piece.

Note the benches, prefect for kneeling and bumping heads with the individual on the other side.

What did I just hear, was it a cough or a sneeze… I know that it came from what we refer to as the Campground room (since it’s unheated we call it that because staying in there overnight would be the closest we would ever get to camping)

I think I found the source and it’s a good thing he has his mask on!

The 2000 piece puzzle we started almost two years ago was finished in the first couple of days of the stay at home order, the second 1500 piece one took just another week.  Good thing we have more here to start on.

They say that being forced to shelter at home is increasing the amount alcohol that is being consumed.  I say that I can’t wait for Friday to roll around so that the recycle bin I’m dragging up the driveway, empty wine bottles clinking inside as I hit each crack, will soon disappear and any evidence of that silly assumption will vanish forever…

Perusing through the news on the home page an article catches my eye “Exercise will improve your immune system” most likely written by an all too attractive, zero percent body fat, gym rat that consumes vast quantities of eggs and chicken washed down with whey protein.  So I start a daily routine, which as we all know becomes a necessary chore all too soon… but inspired I chug on.

Same home page a couple of weeks later “Too much exercise can threaten the immune system” and this one says that you should limit your combined exercise to 300 minutes per week.  Based on what I have been doing I will exceed that amount in just over two days… could it be possible that I am actually killing myself by trying to be healthy?  Of course, this article is most likely written by the adorable chubby lady that bakes cookies and reads romance books… I think that I like her better than the gym rat.

This us what it looked like before.

Imagine, if you will, a room full of your relatives and friends all patiently waiting your arrival and there you are… dressed in your Sunday best, string of pearls holding a tray of hot dogs and your famous homemade potato salad, descending down to a room made unusable by the very staircase you treasure so much (que the record scratch)

Yea, me either… I would much prefer practical over grandness.  Let’s face it I’m not Scarlett O’Hara descending to Rhett Butler… more Carol Burnett with a drapery rod across my shoulders (you have to be close to my age for that one) just trying to maneuver  to the lower level… what were they thinking?
